The Encino Park PTA welcomes you to another great year! We hope you will find plenty of opportunities to volunteer and become another positive role model in our children's lives. The Encino Park Faculty and Staff are awesome! They truly have our children's best interests at heart. Without the help of volunteers like you, they could not do everything our children deserve. So, we would like to thank you in advance for all the time, effort, and dedication that you will put into Encino Park in the 2011-2012 school year!

Volunteering at Encino Park

We Know that your time is valuable, and your volunteer time matters. Please check in, and record your time at the school office using the Raptor system, or record your volunteer time with the online system at www.v-volunteer.com. When you check in at the office, ask for instructions on using the Raptor system. It is essential that we have an accurate record of visitors to Encino Park, but it’s also important to log the number of volunteer hours at the school. Encino Park acquires credit for each hour that you contribute to our school. Both systems, makes it easy for us, but only if we remember to use it!

The online v-volunteer program is great when you need to log hours you've spent on EP PTA business outside of school. You can still use the written log to register your out-of-school hours on the sheets provided near the RAPTOR system. You may take one of the log sheets for your use at home, if that’s helpful. Be sure to include phone calls, shopping or baking for class parties, and driving time, as well.

We are fortunate to have so many parents and community members who are involved with our kids’ education at Encino Park Elementary. Here are some guidelines for school volunteers.

Volunteer Guidelines:

Volunteers must have DPS Clearance. District policy requires all visitors to sign in. Any time visitors come on campus, including volunteers, they are required to sign in at the front desk. Always have your driver’s license available when you come on campus. An adhesive name tag will be issued to visitors to wear that day while on campus.

If you have never filled out the clearance form , go online to: www.neisd.net/vol/index.html. Once the form has been processed, NEISD will issue a volunteer ID number, and you are ready to volunteer on campus! (This form needs to be filled out only once during your time as a NEISD volunteer.) To find your volunteer ID number, go to www. neisd.net, click on Volunteers/Mentors, then click on Volunteer Program, then click on Volunteer ID Number. All you have to do is type a name and either birthday or driver's license number.
