Criminal History Record Check
Thank you for your interest in the Volunteer Program at NEISD. The District requires that all potential volunteers undergo a background check before volunteering. Please click on the following link, fill out the online form, and click "Submit Release." After your background check has been processed, your campus will be notified of your volunteer status.
If you included your email address when you filled out the online form, NEISD will send you an email letting you know if you were approved and your volunteer number. The process can take as long as 5 days. Applications are processed on Mondays and Thursdays. If you have not heard back from NEISD after 10 days, you can call the school, 497-6225, and ask Shannon Lafavers to look you up in the system. Shannon will be able to tell you right away if you are cleared or not.
If you are already cleared, there is no need to reapply. If you have never applied before, please plan ahead and apply 4 weeks before your scheduled volunteer day.
